A standard tester works by filling 100% of your screen with one pure color at a time—typically white, black, red, green, and blue. By removing all icons, text, and user interface elements, your eyes can easily spot anomalies that deviate from the solid background.
Different solid colors reveal specific types of pixel failures:
White Screen: Best for spotting completely dead pixels, which appear as permanent, unlit black dots.
